Which kind of confuses me. They're sisters. Does just familial platonic love not cross people's minds? I love my momma, and would do just about anything for her. That doesn't mean I want to fuck her.

It was because they said Elsa's magic was an analogy for gayness, because of how others would hate and fear her for it, and she had to accept it in herself.  Nothing to do with the relationships of the girls themselves.

I remember hearing about this. I saw the movie (ridiculously overrated btw) and don't think disney intended on making anything about gayness in it lol. People being delusional.

I looooooove little mermaid, beauty and the beast, Aladdin, lion king..... etc.

I feel like Mulan was the last good one. But after that they just became... silly imho. I still love disney world though, and im a huge fan of the bachelor franchise which is owned by disney.

I'm still a Disney fan! Just don't care for their animated movies anymore.

That's totally understandable.  I have no issue with people genuinely not liking certain movies or certain kinds of movies.
I love the same ones you listed as well (not the bachelor, the cartoons, lol).  I grew up on those movies, and they are all wonderful.  Particularly Beuty and the Beast.  I <3 that one!

Do I have a favorite?  Not anymore.  I've gotten to a point in my life where I find I just enjoying...almost everything!  lol

Stitch is probably one of my favorites, though.  He's sooo freaking cute, and relatable. I'm also a much bigger fan of Tangled and Moana than I thought I would be.
My kid watches the Emperors New Groove like once a week!  The humor in that one is pretty great.  Great message about not being a selfish, spoiled brat, too.

Oh, that. I guess you could interpret as a coming out story for lgbtq, if you want.

I wouldn't say delusional.  I agree that I don't think Disney intended it as a straight forward, no pun intended, metaphor for gayness. What it is, is the story of someone who has something that causes her to be an outcast.  This allows people to relate to her for all sorts or reasons.  Being nerdy or bookish, being gay, being a tom boy, etc.  So in that way, it is a metaphor for it, just in a more general sense, if that makes any sense.

Yes exactly, it can be interpreted that way, even if the creators didn't intend that specific thing.  And it's not even an incorrect interpretation.

Like any good art, it can be interpreted many ways, depending on who is viewing it.

I got to see the opera here in Germany of Beauty and the Beast.  I've seen the movie so many times I had no trouble following along in a foreign language.
It was really wonderful!!

Also, somehow I forgot this point: this isn't even the first time the Disney Channel made one of the characters on their kids' shows gay.

And bear in mind, the series was only halfway done before this montage was put to Youtube. And in the series finale, the characters more or less state outright that they're in love with each other. And that aired last year.  And surprisingly, creator Alex Hirsch didn't expect that Disney would sign off on them outright stating it, just letting them be like even more comic versions of Wynt and Kidd with different character alignments and major personality overhauls.

I guess I must have forgotten that part somehow.

I really liked Gravity Falls when it first started, but for some reason I lost interest.

Yeah an opera sounds amazing.

Though I must admit I was a little disappointed by the live action Beauty and the Beast movie. I mean, it's good but I was expecting them to kind of make the story a little different. With the exception of adding like 2 short scenes, it was an exact play by play of the animated version. Which is fine because I love the animated version, but I was expecting something more rather than the same movie I've already seen a million times.

I was expecting it to be more like the live action Cinderella, where they created a new, deeper story. So good!

The whole series is on Hulu now. I'm watching it right now and it's quite good.
