I don't have marching orders to kill, and if I did I doubt I'd accept them gleefully. But, if ordered to kill people who burn their babies in sacrifice, I'd probably do it.
I noted that my father, like many other American men, volunteered to go fight Nazi Germany in WWII. They've been called the greatest generation for doing that. But, you guys would call them murderers. Go figure.

I held back from mentioning this on another thread, but since you insist: you don't really know what special pleading is. You need to consider whether there are significant relevant differences between the agents and/or circumstances. If so, it's not special pleading. For example, allowing certain behaviors for adults but not children usually isn't special pleading.

And it gets worse.
Using only the cases where numbers are given, god's direct death toll is in the region of 2.5 million. Add in the estimates for the flood, sodom and gommorah and such like butchery and gods death toll in the bible rises to some 25 million at least not including the billions of animals killed in the flood.
Compare that to Satan's death toll in the bible, how many did he kill?
10. That's it, just 10. And that was with god's permission on foot of a trivial bet with god.

How could I have forgotten when he lost because the enemy had iron chariots, and was only able to win a wrestling match by kicking or grabbing the other guy's crotch?

They have to use the bible, because that's about all the information they have. Everything else is sparce, and mostly written by people talking about what the followers happen to believe. Not something that had heavy concrete evidence thousands of years ago. It's notable that you can travel and see the code of Hammurabi statue, but not the original ten commandments tablets.
