Really?! I would think it would be more likely that you were the author.

Nah, the author probably just figured you could relate to the email's simplistic arguments, that's why you were sent one.

There are arguments there? I thought somebody was just taking the piss. Care to put your name behind any of it?

This is the email I got today from one of my clients. I don't believe I was supposed to get it since this particular client knows how I feel about Christianity and usually keeps his religious nonsense to himself.

Enjoy ... it really is lunacy.

Come on Cinjin, there are NUMBERS in that e-mail, you can't argue with a list of numbers! (mostly because a list of unorganized numbers makes no point to argue with).

Yeah, I see stuff like this all the time. Usually it's little chain e-mails that middle-aged evangelicals send each other. I mean, I guess if they like them that's up to them.

Nah, the "devil" did that. Their fucking 'god' always gets a pass when things go sour.

God's a pussy.

You know, it's like they're just reassuring each other that their beliefs are right. Any stupid argument will do (as long as it isn't questioned). I guess that's why they hate atheists and consider us a threat. We question.

They even preach to each other. They all gather at single points like the church or some kind of holy ghost thing. Doing their best to keep the fantasy going. To block out any reason that can so easily rip it apart. Trying to keep the blind faith going and their blanky to help block out facts and reality.
Ignorance is blissful but makes you blind to the real world around you.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I am not following your point here at all, you seem to really not understand Christian Theology. Although I think it's from lack of desire to (it is always easier to attack the straw man), you are a sharp enough person to understand it if you actually wanted to.

I can't tell if you are talking about Christians here or many of the atheists on this forum. Smile

One believes in an invisible man in the sky and make up all kinds of stories and claims about it. The other, rejects the whole thing as a load of bull. Not hard to tell whom I'm talking about. Tongue

It's really quite obvious what I'm saying, but hey, don't feel too bad about that. Following reason and logic isn't really a xtian's strong suit.
