I always see comments like "guns don't kill people, people kill people" on Facebook whenever there is a shooting, I mean at this point it's pretty clear guns won't be going out of America. Christian or not all you can do really is just pray it don't happen to you or someone close to you. If I was in the states I would be terrified to go out I don't know how you guys manage lol good luck

Holy CRAP. My Tennessee preacher cousin just posted THIS on Facebook:

"The kids in school today are the third and fourth generation of the fathers who allowed the Lord's Prayer to be taken out of schools. I guess God really did mean what He said in Exodus 20:1-6. It is a horrible thing we have done unto our children of today."

According to the BBC, there have been 19 shootings in US schools THIS YEAR (and it's not the end od February yet!)
When will America realise that giving the general public access to firearms is a bad idea.
I accept that exceptions may need to be made for farmers, people living near dangerous (non human) animals etc. but these should be strictly limited.

I'm torn because I really do believe in the sentiment that people shouldn't be unarmed while the government and law enforcement are armed to the teeth.

I just saw a video on fb with some dude ranting and fucking raving that the problem is that the kids knew this guy was a threat and were raised not to say anything because they shouldn't be rude. Fucking idiot promoting that "nice society is a problem" bullshit. No, dumbass. The kids did tell the teachers. The teachers knew. The kid was tossed from the school. Get yer facts, bro. The problem is that the police should have known and been equipped with the ability to revoke this kid's right to own a firearm for at least 10 years. You know what? Maybe it is time we start having a set of standard precautions for every case where a kid threatens violence like this in a school. Kid can't bring a backpack (already enforced in this case, but should still be part of it.) Kid can't buy a firearm. That will be reassessed in a set number of years. Kid needs to be escorted to and from school by a parent. If parent can't do the escorting, a police officer will be provided. Add as many as you like. Let's fucking do this.
