There's going to be a march here in Boston.

That's great. And I expect to see a lot of marches/protests in the coming days.

The question is one of staying power.

Agreed. We'll see, but it is starting to look like we have a brand-new voting group stepping up pretty soon. I hope they care as much about the issue as old Republicans do about what people do with their sex organs.

But since you cant, not without a tremendous amount of violence, how about coming up with real solutions. I'd much rather live in a gun free society too, but that's not going to happen.

When Obama was president there were record gun sales. Sometimes I wonder if people are more interested in making a point then working with people they disagree with to actually come up with solutions to the problem of violence in america.

I mean, people act concerned about mass shootings and then suggest trying to forcibly take guns away from gun nuts. Yeah, that won't cause any shootings......

On their first full day lobbying Florida lawmakers in Tallahassee to change the state's gun laws, students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School quickly learned change does not happen very fast in government, if at all.
With Douglas students in the gallery Tuesday, the Florida House voted down a motion to take up a ban on assault weapons such as the AR-15 used by Nikolas Cruz when he killed 17 people at the school on Valentine's Day.

The legislation included raising the "firearm possession age from 18 to 21 and banning bump stocks." It failed, 36-71. No wonder it's called the Gunshine state.

Okay, kids.  Your enemies have declared themselves.  Now it is up to you to shove those votes up their gun-loving assholes in November.

Bluff or not, I've always thought that 'cold, dead hands' thing very peculiar. The message is "I have a constitutional right to be a law-abiding, responsible gun owner; and to defend that right, I am prepared to break the law in the most irresponsible way possible".
