“This will be a big thing for us. It’s a new stage for us because it incorporates the rod of iron, as it is in Revelations. Revelations talks about the returning Christ ruling with the rod of iron,” said Tim Elder.

I think there was an SNL parody of Jesus' second coming where he was blowing everyone away with an assault weapon like Rambo.

Can Christ rule with a rod of iron ?
I think he's allergic . . . .

See, it's shit like that why America can't solve her gun problem.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Christian Cults? So what's the difference between a cult and religion? Number of followers? If it has few thousands it's a cult but if it has millions it's a religion - right?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I think in cults the central figure has to be alive and real.

So that means Jehovah's Witnesses are not a cult, since their central figure is what? Dead?
