Why would I bother when, as you yourself claim, God will forgive me my ignorance if I simply ignore your holy books?

I said you won't be accountable if you have no reason to do study it and that it's not properly presented by Muslims today. That is how I understood your statements. I don't know if you do or not. Perhaps you should get this question of whether God exists or not, settled first.

If you turn away from it because you think it's true, that is different from turning away from it if you think it's crap.

I don't see your heart and don't know.

That said, if you think it might be it, the true guidance, then you are obligated to find out and do your best, and whatever conclusions you come up with due to the distortion of the proper translations and interpretation that lead you away from it, may or may not be your fault.

If you don't find reason to believe it's from God, because, you don't have access to the hadiths of Ahlulbayt (as) manifesting it's wonders, and I'm not sure if enough has been translated for that I can't blame you.

If you turn away from the path of searching for knowledge all together, then you are condemned.

Right now I believe you are a seeker of knowledge, but are very hasty in drawing conclusions.

With your haste, I don't think Quran can benefit you much with that habit and you have to work on that.

Sounds like it;s your fault, then, for failing to properly present magic book.  How does god feel about that?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I am not sure. I have been rather bad at presenting it's wealth of treasures and reflections I have gained from it.

Still trying to help you guys on the God question. Still on the basics.

Your opinion is noted. Contrary to your opinion, I do not have such a habit, and the evidence of that is all around you. That you choose to believe otherwise is just self-serving bullshit.

Jo, not everyone who advises is trying to attack you. I say this, because, if anyone on these forums is serious on the dialogue of Atheism vs Theism it's you.

I know that being hasty with Quran is one of it's deadly sins that leads to it's ambiguities as opposed to it's clear bright signs and it's a problem in programming too. When people are hasty in coming up with solutions or concluding on what they must do, you often get in a very bad programming mess.

Helping others find God, helps me, even if I fail to in the attempts almost all the time.

It doesn;t seem like it;s helping you or anyone else. Honestly, it doesn;t seem like it;s help..period. That;s ignoring the strong possibility that no one but you needs this "help" in the first place.

My sisters have availed me of what they call "the compliment sandwich," which is that anytime you deliver a criticism, always sandwich it between two compliments. Your reply is like the reverse of that in that you include one compliment between two criticisms. I don't believe that everyone who advises me is trying to attack me, but I do believe that you are, and for reasons that are not honorable. No, not every bit of advice is motivated by malice, dishonesty, or other questionable motives, but sometimes it is.
