Peterson's 12 Rules For Life, have you heard of this?

I'm not sure what you're getting out of this conversation, but it's not providing enough intellectual interest to me to make it worth continuing. Unless you're willing to look at the things he's actually said and discuss them rationally, then I'm going to go find something more interesting to do.

What I've seen from Jordan Peterson I thought was brilliant. The best thing I've seen him discuss is his critique of academia - what he says on that is SO TRUE and completely resonates with me as a Canadian university student. He is the first person I've heard to call out fringe liberal ideologies dominating specific university fields when they are in fact not grounded in any sort of proper academic rigour.  I was actually blown away when I first saw him speak because he was so accurate in his criticism, and vocalized things that have been perplexing me since my first year of study (namely, why is there a small section of academia promoting a specific ideological end instead of following a proper methodology to do research?).

I am not familiar with his other stances, and probably don't agree with him on everything because I think he is more conservative than I am, but his critique of these university fields is spot on and makes me respect him.

I lol'd
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

It sounds like he's good at talking about some subjects then, and not others. I just happen to have seen all the bad parts first.

He is the guy that destroyed that BBC woman who was interviewing him? The one where the interviewer tried to turn it into male vs female and got rekt.

Was a funny interview and he made sense, seems like a cool guy.

The Contra Points video on him was awesome. Her criticisms of him were fair, and probably sums my opinion of him too.

Nope because your god is the darkness of regression and ignorance .The light is to be found elsewhere .

That is the only interview I've seen of him, so I'll take your word for it.
