Answer Me This?

First of all, you don't know that what he said would be true if he were God... He could be up to mischief, or he could still be able to be wrong about something... Just because he has the power to create, doesn't mean he is right all the time, and all knowing.

Also, Jesus didn't sacrifice himself... He was killed. He had no choice in the matter. He couldn't have stopped them if he wanted to. So, it isn't like he willingly gave up his life... Saying that is bullshit.

You have to be able to see both sides of the fence, because when you have a bunch of different truth claims which contradict eachother, not all of them can be right. To evaluate a truth claim you have to step outside of your bias.

If Jesus is God then everything He said is true and He is the answer to all of our problems. That He sacrificed Himself so that anyone who believes in Him would be saved, and that He is the only way. That there are many different claims to truth out there doesn't speak to the exclusive nature of truth. 30 different people may give 30 different answers to what 2+2 equals, that doesn't mean there isn't a right answer to the question.

Nice job not addressing the question!

If Jesus is God they're both assholes. If the only way to be saved is to believe in Jesus, irrespective of what you've done in your life, then send me to hell! It's a matter of principle.

Oh, and your analogy fails, I guarantee you can't find 30 people who have different answers to 2+2

Yes if. But what if Jebus was not god. What if his death was unplanned. That he was only spreading lies like any preacher does and the Romans saw him as a threat and needed to remove him, and that he and his lies lived on due to his death(public execution) for which made him into martyr.

Over 5,000 religions, one can be right but they can all be wrong.

Don't know about you but religion really does seem like a very large scam. Pay now with faith and church attendance with the so called 'promise' of an afterlife once you're long dead. Sounds like those online scams. Earn £250-500 per week, all you gotta do is pay £35 to start and they promise you'll get your first payment next week. But as weeks go by, you receive nothing and you've lost your money.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life.

How? I just recently killed him.

Yeah....I forgot to mention. Jesus actually returned. Saw him walking by towards the town's church. Well...I didn't want those fucking xians running around saying "I told you so". So I hit him with a shovel and dumped him into a deep river. Looks like you Christians are gonna have to wait another 2,000 years. Tongue
