I don't have any hopes that any party I'd ever be a party of will ever be in power in the US in my lifetime....but if the impossible happened, and the leaders of that non existent party got booed out of a restaurant for being an intolerable dick...why would that bother me?

If anything, I'd want to be the one that booed them out. I think it's a shame that more Reds aren't taking their Dear Leaders to task. That shouldn't be left to the Blues...but it is.

People want their agenda done, plus are more likely to believe people in their own party, so probably believe Kavanaugh has been framed.

As for me, I saw all these arguments in reverse during the Clinton years, when he was accused my multiple women of various forms of sexual harrasement and assualt. All the arguments left wing people are using now, right wing people said then and vice versa.

Makes me a real cynic that anybody on here believes what they are saying or they only believe it when it applies to republicans.

I would wager all my money that when democats start being harrased in public like this, which they will, the people on this forum will flip out over it and call the harrased scumbags and racists and whatever.

I'm not sure what the "when" is doing there.  Dem politicians -have- been booed at, and more.  It's an unfortunate effect of our current society and the republican party's marketing that alot of their booers are racist scumbags...but obviously you don't have to be a racist scumbag to boo somebody out of a restaurant.

Depends entirely what is meant by harassment.

Refusing to serve at a business establishment? What's good for the goose... Doesn't qualify.

Confronting in public? Doesn't qualify, IMO, particularly with politicians who ignore the will of the people.

Doxxing, harrassment at home, threats and the like are unacceptable to me.

Jeff Flake shakes up Judiciary Committee vote on Kavanaugh, asks for floor vote delay

This morning Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) had a gut-wrenching experience, hearing directly from sexual assault survivors what his yes vote on Brett Kavanaugh would mean: "You're telling all women that they don't matter, that they should just stay quiet because if they tell you what happened to them you are going to ignore them."
Flake listened. Sort of.

After private conversations in the anteroom of the Judiciary Committee hearing room with Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Chris Coons (D-DE), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Flake announced that he would ask for a delay in the floor vote on the nomination, but would vote yes in passing Kavanaugh out of committee. He has demanded a one week FBI investigation into Ford’s allegations. And the nominee was approved, 11-10. What happens now is a little unclear.

I hope they threatened to stomp his sorry ass with stiletto heels.
