@HLoT- I'm part of a non-denomination Church, that's conservative. The ony thing you can say about a non denominational Christian church that would be true is that it doesn't follow any one particular denominational dogma and they believe in the Bible and Jesus.
Besides the fact we choose to praise him does not necessarily correlate to him wanting or needing praise, it's more an outpouring of joy and jubilation, and less a choice to "give God" something he wants.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

This is a great question and interesting to watch the theist responses. I notice you haven't had a clear response nor one that makes any sense; my bet is you won't get one. As for your question, as heaven doesn't exist there is no problem for the atheist here.

But why do you believe in the Bible? Besides the fact that it is the "word of "God"?
"Religious faith is the species of human ignorance that will not admit even the possibillity of correction."-Sam Harris
For Man to move forward we must throw away religion, and put it in the Mythology section, and then use Reason, Logic, and Common sense to solve all our daily problems. That's a Higher Level of Thinking.

I am not sure, because the bible is very contradictory when it comes to the whole free will vs determinism thing. Some Christians (Calvinists) deny free will* and asserts humans are slaves to either sin or righteousness and would assert people in heaven will be slaves of the latter. If I were a betting man and knowing Yahweh is a sadistic bastard, I would agree with the Calvinist view. However there would be Christians would be beg to differ.
* The denial of free will and the whole slaves to sin or righteousness thing does have a flaw, it would implie that god created evil and no Christian how matter denying of free will would admit to that.
The bible is not "contradictory when it comes to this subject" , it is just not completely clear. I would ask of you to give me an example of this "contridiction".

God makes humans, who are sinners/selfish.
God hates sinners, punishes them with hell.
God sends his son(himself) to pay for sins, that he created.
Why did he not just make us better and without sin.
Your God is a fucking awful engineer.

Forgive my naivety but isn't that the same as lying??
