I googled him, I’ve seen 3 of his movies. Loved all 3. This confirms my suspicion that I wouldn’t like the MASH movie haha

Nothing to me as far as TV or movies can compare to "Shindler's List" or "Saving Private Ryan".

But as far as a sitcom trying to tackle the serious subject of war, MASH really conveyed to me, at the time, that we are all human beings and war is hell,

Yea, that is the episode where Hawkeye couldn't figure out why he was freezing.But after time he talked to Sidney Freedman(army shrink) divulged that he ended up on local transport under bombardment with a baby crying, and had to decide if covering the baby's mouth to silence it would save the rest of the bus.

It was the mother that smothered her child. Hawkeye was wrecked because he approved of something so ... awful because it saved his own life.

Another fav is the one where the local father has his daughters probing for mines ahead of the ox that is plowing their fields.

I particularly liked the double episode where Hawkeye wrecked his jeep and had to stay with a Korean family till help arrived.

So many good ones, hard to pick a favourite.
