Boru the English translation does not follow the original translation faithfully. What creatures do not live in community?
Bears, leopards, octopuses, koalas, to names a few.

You keep saying that you have proof, across multiple threads, but never quite get around to presenting it, Soldier.
Shit or get off the pot, lol.

No, but I expect it to be correct if it mentions mathematics. If it gets it wrong, that's pretty bad editing.

That's your claim. The next step is to back it up with mathematics, science, and 'the reason'. And I hope this does not rain on your parade, but the Quran containing information known or easily found out in the 8th century isn't evidence of paranormal inspiration (being written several centuries later, I would hope it would contain fewer factual errors about the natural world), nor are scriptures that can be interpreted multiple ways.
Really, if the Quran was a great source of mathematics and science, I'd expect lots of great discoveries based on it, but what we see is discoveries being shoehorned into the text after the fact. Given that it got the rotation of the Earth wrong, I'd avoid it altogether as a science source if I were you.

The constant scourge of every magic book in all of time has been poor editing.

I'm addressing your comment. I expect any mathematics or science a history book does have to be accurate, or I will conclude that it is badly edited or out-of-date. I don't expect a history book to be perfect of course, it's authors are only human; and I don't have to do any mental gymnastics to come up with an ad hoc explanation why the mistake doesn't count as a mistake.
Are you claiming the Bible to be a history book? I don't think it stands up well on that count, either.
Let it be a book of parables and stories theologically instructive to adherents set in ancient and classical times, and I've not much complaint about it.

No I'm not claiming it's a math book or a history book. I started off by pointing out to Fierce that the claims of the Bible as a science book, (History or math as well) is pretty ridiculous mainly because of it's purpose. Seen in the context and understanding of it's time, for what it's purpose was I feel it's very effective. If you're trying to use the Bible as a taxonomy or mathematics handbook you're headed the wrong direction, IMO.
Side note-I do love unicorns and although I've never seen one personally, believe they exist because of the Bible (and a few other sources).

You are the one misinterpreting me for your own bias. I never made the claim that the bible is a science book. I stated quite clearly that if biblical authors had been inspired by a divinity that was omniscient, the bible would reflect this in every aspect; including aspects that are scientific in nature. It matters not the time period in which it was written if the writers were divinely inspired by an almighty being that understood the scientific workings of the world. Since what the authors have dictated does not reflect knowledge from a being who understands science, it can be quite reasonably ascertained that those writers were merely creating from their imaginations.
