If women start using them, more than one man is going to get his dick hurt by them, even if the first women are killed because of it. Eventually, if no man knows which woman has it, are they going to be the first to try it? It's not a perfect system, but it's better than the one they've got which is to passively accept the rape and probably die anyway.

It's a bit macabre, I think a gun would be more effective.

I guess I'll have to be the stick in the mud here....no matter what happens to John Q's dick, it isn't going to stop the next guy in line. And so what a bunch of rapists have mangled peckers? There are probably nearly as many dead girls at this point, and just as many rapists waiting in the wings. Does something like this deserve attention? Absolutely. This kind of attention, probably not.

Besides, once they know to look for it, they'll just take it out.

As for the guns, these women don't have access to guns or this wouldn't be a problem.
