This is the scene that made me fall in love with Saul. His whole personality is so fucking smarmy and douchey it's like I love to hate the guy but he's just comical as a human being. The line, "...some would call that fraud in service of concealing a felony... I, myself, am more open-minded," from the above scene makes me laugh my ass off to this day. He is such a dick LOL
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.
It's entertaining, but not in a "Wow, those meth dealers are so damn cool." kind of way. It's a drama. It takes advantage of the natural disgust, fear and sadness you feel for people caught up in these things.
I get the feeling this is a massive revenge flick, and I need it. They put that character through the shit in Breaking Bad. My hope? He takes down everyone. I really didn't care for Jesse, he was wishy-washy and couldn't ever commit to being who he was. Constantly questioning himself. At least Walt had the courage of his convictions. But I think Aaron Paul did an amazing job in portraying him, and would love to see a revenge flick like you're talking about. I'd pretty much be happy about anything Breaking Bad related coming out, but it looks like this movie is gonna' be fucking crazy.

Jesse was my favorite. The show needed someone who was conflicted and an addict that was complex, not just a junkie.

He was a great character and an essential one at that. Walt was very conflicted too, earlier on. This became less of an issue as he just started to accept, "Yeah, I'm a bad guy. And I don't give a fuck and fuck you if you don't like it." That's sort of what made me love Walt though. He was such a pussy in the beginning

No one does a character study like Gilligan and Co. Saul is just so god damned good at what he does, that you almost can’t even blame him for it, lol. That’s a great scene from BB, btw. “I see you got your termite inspection; that’s good. Nothing about the meth lab though.” 😂
Nay_Sayer: “Nothing is impossible if you dream big enough, or in this case, nothing is impossible if you use a barrel of KY Jelly and a miniature horse.”

You can still definitely see Gilligan's directorial style in there though, which is awesome. In some ways, I actually prefer BCS, to be honest. Then again, I've watched through BB at least three or four times now, so I guess it's a bit old at this point, on top of the show ending like what? Three years ago or something now? That scene in the court room with Jimmy and Chuck was just insane. If you've seen it you know which one I'm talking about. If not, I'm not giving up enough info to spoil it for you And I haven't seen season four yet so don't spoil it for me!

Walt went fucking insane. There were moments where I hated him, which made him, of course, an excellent character.

I know I have one, and it was beating at that time. Can I have it? For my collection? Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" |
