Now a question for you: If the Scandinavian model isn't successful, why haven't the Scandinavian countries abandoned it?

Several people subpoenaed to testify in the impeachment inquiry have refused to do so. Ignoring a subpoena issued by a congressional committee or subcommittee is contempt of Congress, which carries a maximum penalty of up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $100 000.
If a few of these scofflaws were jailed, might it convince others to comply with the subpoenas?

Russia treating Syria and the Kurds better than we did? They've already employed chemical weapons. The point of getting us out of there was to further secure turkeys allegiance by removing a significant obstacle to ethnic cleansing. They must have been ecstatic when the president decided to tell the world he planned to violate the geneva conventions and loot a warzone.
There are rumors that this change in policy was, itself, the product of political blackmail. Hopefully that's just the mill..but as a sign of the times we live in and the admin we're suffering under....when you hear it, your first thought is "ofc, why not".

Yes, we withdrew troops, and Turkey immediately attacked the Kurds, who have been fighting ISIS. That's what I mean by Russia treating the Kurds better than we did, because hopefully they won't let Turkey kill ISIS' enemies.
