New to this site and actually atheism.  I’m here to know more about atheism and how people convert to it.  My questions are below.  If you have time please take a moment to help me understand more of the atheist view.  These questions are intended for those who espouse the atheist view but if you are from another belief system feel free to answer.

Atheism is just a lack of belief in the supernatural, it's not a positive position. It has no views, no philosophies, no system of belief whatsoever. "Atheism" is the sound people make when someone says there's an invisible sky daddy looking out for them.

What do you consider as prime reality?

This one. I don't think we're in a simulation or anything.

What is the purpose of history or does it serve  a purpose?

It has no purpose, but we can learn from it and its progression and mistakes made. But that isn't a purpose in and of itself.

How did human existence begin?

Through natural selection from genetic mutation; you know, evolution.

What is morality?

A system of and by experience to determine the outcome of actions if they're harmful or not. There are many differences of opinion what morality is, this is mine.

Where do you decide what is right and wrong?

In my head.

What do you believe in with absolute certainty?

Mathematical proofs. Axioms too, geometric and mathematical.

Nothing is "supernatural". There isn't a single concept, existence, or phenomenon that is superior to the capabilities of nature.

We don't need personal observation to demonstrate much of observed reality. For example, if we always required direct observation, how would we ever convict murderers?

There so many lines of evidence to support evolution, for example: comparative anatomy, DNA, fossils, and more, that it is about as well supported theory* in all of science.

Dr. Francis Collins, ex head of the Human Genome Project, and evangelical Christian, says that the DNA evidence alone is enough to support evolution and common ancestry. Same with Dr. Kenneth Miller, another leading biologist and Christian.

By the way, evolution is still ongoing. It is not something of the past. Just google "Italian wall lizard evolution" for just one example.

Whoa! Lots of stimulating conversation begins when a people's belief’s are challenged. The thing is...I never challenged anyone’s belief in evolution I merely noted that it was a belief. Whether it is a founded belief or not is another conversation. The fact that the big bang was not witnessed but a constructed theory is disheartening I guess to the believers of it. Sorry guys its a theory just like creation...you either believe it or choose not to believe it. Still takes faith.

It’s a theory (scientific in nature) with a lot of suporting evidence. No faith required, the evidence has been published in peer reviewed journals for all to see.

“Creation” is a claim with no supporting evidence.
