The OP was phenomenally inept. Is that really want you want to talk about?

If you base your claims on the age of the text it is beaten by the Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks, Hindus, Mayans, etc. none of whom ever spoke to Homo erectus..
Of course you made a remark about the popularity of Islam:
Quote:Mr Greene Wrote:
The Q'ran was written 609-632. Hardly that ancient and robbing the people of the middle east of their Sumerian heritage.
You went off to criminalize the choice of people calling it "robbery", despite us knowing that Islam is a religion, not a human being to "rob" people of anything.
Buddy; people chose that religion. Accusations of "robbery" do not live in the vocabulary of any decent human; but only live and thrive in the mentality of a defeated bunch who feel overwhelmed in front of a threat.
And don't listen to rightist crap. It's not good for your health.
The OP though..what do you say discussing it?
The leaders of the religion who wrote the book were lying, defrauding their followers as they continue to do. That has nothing to do with popularity. It's just another scam making claims they can't back up and never intended to honour.

"Leaders" does not suit your accusation since I present this post -as all of my [Quranic reflection] posts- as a direct explicit copying of the verses of the Quran, I even post links for the Arabic verse- followed by my own personal reflection and understanding of the verse presented.
So what leaders do you mean? I even stated that I neither follow the Sunni nor the Shiite institutions.
No; Islam is popular and practiced widely because it's a fine gem in this world of chaos. Compared to other religions like Christianity, the bloodshed it caused is incomparable. I thought this is a fact by now; especially after seeing who created the atom bomb, drones and tactical bombers. But it's not our topic here to discuss non-religious crimes.
So back to the OP.

The Anthropomorphism that enforces an image to such event does not represent my OP.
You know what I mean: the heathen picture of a Zeus-like God sitting on a chair of clouds and teaching humanity over the millenniums.
Instead; I reject such way in picturing the event, but I think about the first "Homo erectus" to learn how to use his/her tongue and lips to produce a word.

Whats even worse, he comes here and tries ...what exactly? To convince anyone here of this nonsense? He should know by now that most people in here have way higher standards for believing than he has, if what he has can be called any standard at all.
Focus on the OP, please.
Though; there's a Muslim section here and I happen to be a Muslim; so I post my ideas in it.
Muslim forums would ban me, with a majority assuming I'm a heretic for rejecting the Hadith.
Here, I have friends. I spent almost a decade in this place, I can write my thoughts and belief without fear.
I can uncover lots of misconceptions about the Quran, and expose the massive crimes the Sunni/Shiite institutions are doing.
So, the OP.
discuss that.

The Quran said that God taught humans how to "speak".
Thus they didn't know how to speak before.
If that doesn't prove evolution to you, I don't know what might prove it.
I don’t need the Quran to believe in evolution.

So back to the OP.
By Leaders I refer to the authors (I'm assuming you didn't write the Q'ran) and their successors who profiteered after them.
As to the OP I take it that it didn't occur to you that you are interpreting the evidence to fit a preconceived conclusion.
The authors certainly never met Homo erectus, neither have you. Neither they nor you have the evidence to make the claim in the OP.
You haven't defined speech nor clarified the definition of 'speech' made in the article you got the statement from.
Do you believe that apes, monkeys or fish do not communicate?
How would you differentiate the communication of Homo erectus from that of Australopithacus afarensis?
When exactly would one become the other and how long do you think it took to teach them 'speech'?

---Or---
1) Humans wonder how speech came to be
2) Humans develop religions to explain unknowns
3) Humans posit that their god gave them speech
4) Humans write the Quran
QED Humans can be dumb sometimes.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
