Christians are no better, if they truly are Fundy. The Bible commands a woman to be subservient to her husband, the head of the house. That old saying, "rule of thumb", originated in the early years of America when women had no rights but were doomed to be property of their fathers and then their husbands. A man could legally beat his wife, his property (I now pronounce you man and wife. Wife being a designation of ownership under the man), as long as the stick or rod he used to do so was no wider than his thumb. To their credit the writers of the movie, "Boondock Saints" put that in the script dialog when the brothers meet a woman who proceeds to educate every man at work about the trials and travails of America's early women.
If Fundy Christians were truly obedient to the Fundamentals of the Bible they'd give Fundy Muslims a run for their money.
It's truly some sick shameless trash that occurs in the name of religious text that claims it's all god's will. When there is no god, just sick men promoting a Patriarchal rule using a beard as the excuse for their personal misogyny.

Actually Islam began as the rest of the Abrahamic faiths. As an oral tradition. It was not a whole book or scroll composed by the Prophet Muhammad, but there is a debate as to whether or not Muhammad did write down certain sura so as to remember them rightly. And there is also the contention afforded by some Muslims that accuse Muhammad of having changed scripture.

Muhammad was a merchant and was presumed to be literate in order to conduct his business. However, Muhammad was also a rapist, a pedophile, a murderer and a thief. Women during Muhammad's time in Arabia had hardly any rights. They were considered property and easily disposed of at the whim of their men. Even during hard times, when food was scarce, it wasn't unusual for girl children to be buried alive by their families because what food there was was given to the male children, who would continue the seed of their father.
Islam claims both men and women are equal before Allah. And yet, as we learn from video's describing proper etiquette in beating one's wife, the opposite is true. One would be hard pressed to find a sura in the Koran that describes the etiquette for a wife to beat her husband. So in matters of the man's will, it trumps that of the woman. Especially when it comes to sex.
And it wasn't a group of men responsible for the Koran. Muhammad claimed to have been given it through recitation by Allah, after Muhammad arrived in Heaven having been borne there on the back of a flying horse. He then returned to earth and later began to teach what he'd been told to share to his people, as to god's will for them. So while the Koran was compiled in what can be said to have been a collaborative effort, Muhammad was the original author on the terrestrial plain, at the behest of Allah the source and dictator of the scripture, in the ethereal.

I think there are alot of good reasoning here and i think that it is meant for well and not intended to draw hate but to elaborate on a general truth toward progressiveness and positivity. The hard thing to understand about all this is that progressiveness and positivity have a generality about it that you can see people who commit crimes thrive in the world while good positive people suffer, that should tell you right there that progressiveness has two different meanings.
Some would argue that suffering of any kind is detrimental and not needed for a progressive society but others would argue that it is very well needed for a progressive society. Some would say "Hey, if we take all the suffering out of the world then everyone would be happy and lack nothing." Then some would reply "Suffering is a necessary attribute to being happy because you wouldnt truly know what happiness is except in the case of experiencing suffering."
Morals have to come into account when you are dealing with these things just as well as the end result. If any one has met a perfect person in their lifetime who has all the answers and all the right characteristics for perfectness tell me. If so, tell me how he came about being that way. The perfect answer to that would be that struggle and hardship is necessary for perfecting characteristics and for refining morals. Even the Christian Bible teaches this by saying Jesus learned obedience through suffering. When it comes to morals making people suffer is wrong and should be disdained and rebuked but when a person is naturally suffering or struggling then it should be counted as gain instead of loss on a moral standpoint because it refines and makes you understand the magnitude of the impact of helping people not suffer. So with that case stated, balance is needed for morally understanding purposes but it is not justified to commit purposefully in any sense.
I just want to say that most of the suffering going on today is completely man created and it is completely able to be resolved if people who have the power to resolve it saw a reason for it to be resolved.
I hate to say it but suffereing and war has turned into a big business for the people who orchestrate it. The ones who suffer are the ones who dont have any power to stop it. The ones who do not suffer by it are the ones who are orchestrating it and profiting off resources, land, population control, and such there are many reasons certain people can find to destroy others.
On behalf of Christians I would like to say that the way people respond to Christianity who claim to be a part of it have given a bad reputation and history of the structure of it. Jesus simply states that we are to be comforters and we are to be kind and generous and loving towards EVERYONE. There are even examples of when Jesus told Peter to put down his sword because those who live by it die by it.
Violence is not condoned in any way in Christianity. What is meant by Christianity is that it shows us the will of God and that it explains it in terms only believers with the Holy Spirit can interpret. The reason it is so widely misunderstood and misused is because people have tried to infiltrate and discredit the name of Christ and make people turn against Him. Had to clear this up sry.
