You can always count on Bel to pop in after 40 pages of pure abrahamic derp to say that atheists are dumb dumbs who don't know shit.
Certainly seems to be the case for at least one atheist, I'll give him that.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The questions "what caused the first cause?" or "who designed the designer?" are the equivalents in the field of theology. They show that the person asking doesn't understand the argument.
To be fair to atheists who don't understand theology, though, it's true that the majority of Christians don't understand it either. They are using a children's-level Sunday School version, and a lot of atheists assume that's all there is.
It's frustrating. It's like hearing an Ayn Randian and a Creationist debate Darwin, and neither one knows what they're talking about. Lemme guess, Bel is one (of the few?) who understands both.

When Bel signed up, I correctly identified him/her as a covert theist and was criticised for so doing. Yet here we are with mods doing the very same.
Odd, that.

I've never read Ayn Rand's own work.
Often enough, I've seen her followers use misinterpretations of Darwin to justify selfishness as social policy. Apparently they think that "only the strong survive" is Darwinian? Or that social "Darwinism" makes it morally OK for rich people to ignore the poor.

If only the fittest survive then there would only be one survivor each generation. Doesn't sound like a successful policy to me.
In point of fact we should say "fit to survive".

I explained that to a couple of elderly ladies who shared a genetic heritage with Boss Lady. They were frightened, I think, to even consider how much sense that made.

Evolution works with "good enough to breed" rather than "perfectly adapted"
