Even if it was, it would simply mean Muhammad' lied on someone's grave to remind himself of death and resurrection.
So first you claim that there's nothing bad in Hadiths but that some people don't know how to read them, and then you dismiss Hadiths as not authentic and non reliable. So again you are being dishonest and contradict yourself. The only person you are lying to is yourself.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I don't recall John Smith blatantly challenging every English speaker alive to come up with a book similar to his. Nor that he encountered opposition of the military kind.
He was charged with treason vs. the US. That would in effect be military opposition.
So your claim rests on how many chimps with typewriters it would take to produce the book he didn't write?

Clearly, you have absolutely no conception of the authenticity of hadiths, namely, that there are different levels of authenticity. The one you're mentioning is on the top bottom. And my guess would be you didn't even read the hadith you're referring to..... am I right?
Until you do some research, I suggest you refrain from defending this nonsense, you just don't know what you're talking about.

Still, it's difficult to compare his case to Muhammad's. It's already clear to academics how Joseph Smith composed his book. Regarding Muhammad, I was looking for good explanations of his revelations for years now and I found nothing compelling.

It's mistranslated because he and his "scholars" don't like it
All he can do is call you ignorant because he can quote some apologist talking point lol
And his babble about how the books came about is irrelevant.
I love how when one of his points gets knocked down his response is either to call you ignorant or jump to another failed or irrelevant point
You can't compel a rock to speak or religious zealot to change .

None of these has any bearing on whether ANY of these people had a direct line to God.
Tell that to all the other members of this board. Apparently their only problem with Muhammad is that he killed people. Whether he was right in doing so... they don't care.
Negatron, that would be Atlas' problem. It bothers him that Big Mo was a typical 7th century warlord. He thinks that sunni and shia liars are behind this historic inaccuracy, lol.
I don't mind sending rounds downrange myself, and I note that it just wasn't a problem for islam or muslims these last 1400 years or so.

You aren't arguing with any of us. As Boru pointed out, the alleged founders of a great many religions also just so happened to be hilariously shitty people. Even here, Big Mo fails to raise above the bar for a common loon.
