Then you, or anyone, can't really state precisely just what the hell he was talking about.

It must be very difficult when you have to fight this hard to justify a fantasy.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

And the worst part is despite all the different ways he said it . It still fails to be precise.

Well, that’s clearly our fault, not the Prophet’s. We’ve fallen into the anti-Islamic trap of expecting words to mean what they mean. See, for all of my life, I thought ‘barefoot’ meant ‘without footwear’, but it turns out that it means ‘naked’. But ‘naked’ doesn’t mean ‘naked’ it means ‘wearing some clothing, but not a lot, because you live in the desert’.

I feel a right Charlie, I do.

I think I added some fucking references to every translation above, you can click the link and check them out yourself.

And if you're not familiar with the existence of variants of one hadith - because, you now, Muhammad can say some important stuff to his companions many times in different ways- I suggest you take some time to do research.

I should remind that the Quran -Islam's source book- said that the hour -judgement day- comes unexpectedly:

Quote:Sura 7, The Quran:
https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/index.php?l=en#...rans=en_sh

( 187 )   They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know."

Mohammed -peace be upon him- was not familiar with its time -as the Quran says-.

It must be very difficult when you have to fight this hard to justify a fantasy.

The Quran -on the other hand- is 603 pages that never change.
You can't play with its verses in the manor of the Hadith. For example, this OP; the Hadith gives so many scenarios about the advent of judgement day, but the Quran says it clearly and explicitly: nobody knows when it's coming but God himself.

That's why Sunni and Shiite institutions resort to the Hadith; with the Hadith you can "belly dance" and do lots of gymnastics to justify so many deeds.

It never ceases to amaze me that over the last 2000 years prophesy went from "if you don't do X,Y and Z, god wiill come down from his cloud, beat you up and rob your lunch money" to "after event X, lots of religious peoply will clamour to a point to a passage in their holy book which supposedly predicted the event, despite nobody seeing said 'prediction' before the event happened.

Do they think everybody's as stupid as they are?

He (the enquirer) again said: Inform me about the hour (of the Doom). He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring (about it). He (the inquirer) said: Tell me some of its indications. He (the Holy Prophet) said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master, that you will find barefooted, destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. [Source : https://sunnah.com/muslim/1/1]

'Barefooted, destitute goat-herds' incontrovertibly refers to inhabitants of any country in the Arabian peninsula. These folks, according to Muhammad, will compete with each other about building the tallest skyscrapers. The Arabic equivalent of "vying with one another", tatawala' تطاول is more expressive, being derived from the word toul' طول literally meaning length. The reader can easily check the accuracy of these translations. Muhammad clearly referred to buildings, guaranteeing that this prophecy can't be misinterpreted in any other way.

Muhammad's prophecy came true in the modern era, there are many skyscrapers in numerous countries belonging to the Arab league:

Now let's hear our dear skeptics complaining of the vagueness of Muhammad's prophecies ; Lalala

It is extremely vague.

I thought you can handle one or two different translations of a hadith without complaints..? Did you expect some one-to-one correspondance between Arabic and English...? By the way, naked replaces the word destitute, not barefoot, as I explained some three or four times already.

Actually, we can state what he was talking about with incredible precision, so much so that billions of people imitate every gesture in his prayers, ablution, etc.
