The Trump regime abandoned national testing plan because the virus was only ravaging blue states. Trump and Kushner decided to kill it for political reasons, so Democratic governors would be blamed if things went bad.

Here’s a thought, if Trump wins it’s because people can’t accept or admit they were wrong. That’s just what trump does. Therefore if trump wins it’s because a majority of Americans are More like him than they’d like to admit. That both explains how trump got into office, the shit job he does, and why most self deprecating Greedy and lazy sloths would re-elect him; because that’s their face in the political mirror. Stew on that.

No the simple reason Trump got in is that the US electoral system is fundamentally anti-democratic, from the Electoral College fatally favouring empty sstates, to the ability of rich people to openly buy both politicians and elections all the way through to the fact that the whole procees is controlled by political appointees, making voter supression, gerrymandering anod over and under counting of votes endemic in the system.
And by extension, that makes the whole damn useless constitution anti-democratic because these defects were written into it deliberately.

There’s a fairly easy fix to most government systems, but no one seems to want to try it. It would require some significant, but relatively cheap, changes to online security and the ongoing costs would be minimal.
Direct voting. Do away entirely with representative government and allow everyone to vote online for everything. You could keep congresses and parliaments, but their chief duties would be to propose legislation (ideally based on petitions), not enact it.
More details will be forthcoming as I dream them up.
