Many years ago while working as a mechanic, a guy came in to have his brakes worked on, because they were squealing (front disc). He had used that anti-squeal spray on the side that rubbed the rotors. Needless to say, that didn't stop the squeal.

I'll bet those front brakes bit good and hard for the first few stops until the glue wore off. The squeal would have been tires sliding on the pavement!  Hehe
