Random Thoughts
RE: Random Thoughts
Guys, just a theoretical. I like to learn.
If doctors insert a fertilized kitten egg inside a willing woman (surrogate), is there any reason why she won't give birth to a healthy kitten?

I know we're going to make jokes, etc, that's fine, but I still want to know if it will work?
Then I'd ask, why not 2 kittens? Or a kitten and a puppy and maybe a kangaroo. Dunno
Remember that these animals are very small when born so size shouldn't be an issue.

Let's explore this for now before I ask about the possibility of other things like laying eggs, or tadpoles, etc
I'm being very serious!

Looking forward to the follow up of all the (continued) whining by Trumpers.

Ethical concerns aside, the answer is ‘probably yes’. Panda embryos have been grown in domestic cats, so I’d imagine the technology to grow a cat embryo in a human female exists.

Now, the obvious question is to shriek, ‘Why would you want to??’

I'm guessing they have to use immunosuppressants to get that to work.

None of the panda embryos were brought to term and several of the cats in the experiment died of pneumonia during pregnancy, but the embroys DID appear to thrive prior to dissection.

RE: Random Thoughts
Some species are more amenable than others, the amenability is almost always unidirectional, and human beings are on the low end of amenability. It's not impossible, just supremely difficult and limited. At some point, all of the measures we'd have to take to get a good shot at it would simulate not being implanted in a human womb at all.

It's a weird one.

OK. Ta guys. So the answer is "it's complicated". What about growing something to full term in a lab (not a real person).
Ethics aside, we'll just deal with animals ...(for some reason Christians don't have a problem experimenting with animals as they have no soul)...

Has a healthy animal ever been born grown and lived a healthy life? Mice? anything?
