But, Sung, the Government shouldn't even get out of bed for a group of heavily-armed people bent on overthrowing the government unless there's an arbitrarily large number of them! Even if said number is still large enough to overpower the U.S. Capitol Police!
And if they have bombs at government buildings? Pshaw, if they can be disarmed by the bomb squad or if their yield is too low to do much damage, you're an idiot for wanting to hold the bomber accountable! Yup Insurrection has nothing to do with intent it has to be bout scale unless there is a million of them and they are using military-grade explosives just ignore them
Remember this is a guy who thinks burning down an Arby's is equal to trying to kill members of Congress and overthrow the government so this isn't much of a surprise

But the Washington DC Attorney General let it be known last night that he’s looking to criminally charge Trump for the insurrection. That could be much more important than impeachment.
Frankly, the decision to not call witnesses probably made sense at the time, especially since many of the Senators voting were witnesses themselves and it would have been belaboring the point. Then again, belaboring the point probably would have broken the resolve of enough Republican senators to get a guilty verdict.
And on the potential news of Trump getting criminally charged for insurrection:

Only if there are 12 Democrats on the jury.
Odds are you will get at least one dyed in the wool ( R ) who would delight in simply pissing off the ( D )s.
Prosecutors WISH they only had to make that easy 2/3 majority that is needed in the Senate.

Actually, the 'odds' are just the opposite. While political affiliation doesn't de jure prevent someone sitting on a jury, it absolutely de facto does. The odds of finding a Trump-sympathizing juror in DC are about 18 to 1 against.
Of course, his lawyers could argue that Trump can't get a fair trial in DC, but this would put them in the charmingly embarrassing position of having to admit that the DC vote was valid.

Not surprised that he was acquitted. But his base will claim that he cant be tried in a regular court or civil court which is not true. Even Mitch said that the courts could go after him. I know at a minimum he is facing civil cases.

How do you figure that?
It's like a black man trying to get a fair trial in Klan country.....
How does that "admit the vote is valid"?
Prejudice against the defendant by the jury pool is exactly why they have change of venue....

If Charles Manson were president and today's GOP were the Jurors, Manson would have never spent a day in prison.
Manson tried to claim the same thing Trump did, "You don't have my fingerprints at the scene" " I never killed anyone".
The worst part is that we have video proving incitement. Manson spent his life in prison, with no video, no tweets.

So, the dishonesty of party loyalty will come back to haunt the Grim Old Party in 2022 and beyond. Evidence continues to accumulate against T.rump and it will be used. The inevitable tell-all books and articles will be useful for this.

You are a dipshit of the highest order.
Your inane comparisons are useless.
