Of course, the alternate explanation is that you’re talking out of your arse. Imma go with that.

Boru

God blew only "a part of his soul" into us, not his "whole soul", I believe that's only the part that gives us "consciousness" and "self-awareness" unlike animals.

Nobody knows what the "original, full and unique" soul of God has; a tiny part is electricity which humans have and that's about it for us: we're so small, so dependant, just an instance of a part, while God is the full, capable, whole, perfect.

I wouldn't say God is "physical"; because the rest of his soul is unknown to us: we only know the electrical part that needs a physical medium to be generated.

Winterhold, your anti-science bullshit is getting more desperate, pathetic and stupid with each passing post. I think you should stop digging down.

Plasma is ionized gas that is super-heated:

https://www.psfc.mit.edu/vision/what_is_plasma

Quote:Plasma is superheated matter – so hot that the electrons are ripped away from the atoms forming an ionized gas. It comprises over 99% of the visible universe. In the night sky, plasma glows in the form of stars, nebulas, and even the auroras that sometimes ripple above the north and south poles. That branch of lightning that cracks the sky is plasma, so are the neon signs along our city streets. And so is our sun, the star that makes life on earth possible.

That doesn't seem "physical" to me, many scientists actually agree with me:

In other words; it's not a "solid, physical" state of matter:

https://education.jlab.org/qa/plasma_01.html

Quote:Plasma is the fourth state of matter. Many places teach that there are three states of matter; solid, liquid and gas, but there are actually four. The fourth is plasma. To put it very simply, a plasma is an ionized gas, a gas into which sufficient energy is provided to free electrons from atoms or molecules and to allow both species, ions and electrons, to coexist. The funny thing about that is, that as far as we know, plasmas are the most common state of matter in the universe. They are even common here on earth. A plasma is a gas that has been energized to the point that some of the electrons break free from, but travel with, their nucleus. Gases can become plasmas in several ways, but all include pumping the gas with energy. A spark in a gas will create a plasma. A hot gas passing through a big spark will turn the gas stream into a plasma that can be useful. Plasma torches like that are used in industry to cut metals. The biggest chunk of plasma you will see is that dear friend to all of us, the sun. The sun's enormous heat rips electrons off the hydrogen and helium molecules that make up the sun. Essentially, the sun, like most stars, is a great big ball of plasma.

More and more stupid. Plasma is a physical medium. Everything that exists is.

It's still matter regardless of which state it is in.

What I think is tripping you up, Winter, is that plasma states can break down the atomic structure. Hydrogen plasma is almost like a soup of free electrons and protons. But it is still (by definition) matter.

What prevents me from agreeing that plasma is actually "matter" is that it is not a long lasting state of matter, look here:

https://www.aps.org/publications/apsnews...matter.cfm

Quote:But what about plasma? It’s the most abundant state of matter in the universe, but plasma can’t exist for long under normal terrestrial conditions.

Essentially that's what I meant by "transitional" state: Plasma is a temporary state that superheated matter goes through: that's not "matter" -even if science said so today- but rather a "transitional state into something we didn't yet discover".

The question I would ask myself is this: what happens to matter after turning to plasma? what's the next state?

On Earth it isn't, idiot. In other environments it is long lasting. Did you not read the bit about it being the most common state of matter?

Anything that has mass and occupies volume is matter.

Boru

Edit: what she said.

I declare my defeat in this debate since my last chance was checking the sun's core composition; and it turns out it is actually plasma:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_core

Quote:The core of the Sun is considered to extend from the center to about 0.2 to 0.25 of solar radius.[1] It is the hottest part of the Sun and of the Solar System. It has a density of 150 g/cm3 at the center, and a temperature of 15 million kelvins (15 million degrees Celsius, 27 million degrees Fahrenheit).[2]

The core is made of hot, dense plasma (ions and electrons)

And I will obey what the Quran said about the composition of souls:

Quote:Sura 17, The Quran:
https://quran.com/17:85?store=false&translations=

(85) And they ask you, [O Muḥammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair [i.e., concern] of my Lord. And you [i.e., mankind] have not been given of knowledge except a little."

Ok, we can now return to our muttons.

If plasma is matter, then electricity is matter, because both are made of massy particles (electrons have mass).

Since your contention is that human souls are electricity and this electricity is (or was) a part of God, then God has to be made of (or at least contain) electrons. Therefore God is a physical being.

You now have to abandon one of your two prior contentions: either souls are not electrical in nature, or electrons are not matter. Which’ll it be?

When people point out how very, very wrong you are, they are not trolling you. Nomad’s comments are perfectly legitimate concerning your contentions about plasma.

Doesn’t the Quran have anything to say about making false accusations?

It does, but it also has so many verses about calling people names, especially like a "troll".

I love this verse -:

Quote:Sura 49, The Quran:
https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/index.php?l=en#...rans=en_sh

( 11 )   O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

calling people names is never the way.

But Nomad isn't a Muslim, so Quranic injunctions don't apply to him. YOU, on the other hand, are calling him names when you falsely accuse him of being a troll.

You make Allah cry.

But I can punish you if you began the insult, or forgive you:

Quote:Sura 16, The Quran:
https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/index.php?l=en#...rans=en_sh

( 126 )   And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.
( 127 )   And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire.

In other words: an eye for an eye; but why not forget his insult? especially since it is the recommended action towards "trolling".

Trolls target your soul by trying to "break you"; he doesn't worth the high blood pressure, so as all trolls. I feel sorry for trolls though :/

RE: The problem of the soul
Ah, winterhold accusing people who have a different opinion than he to be trolls. What else is new?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
