I always laugh when people say Hilter was a socialist. To date, I have yet to hear a compelling argument for it. But I will say the worst argument I've heard is the idea that because Germany had I highly regulated economy with things like Wage and Price controls made it Socialist despite those same things being done in capitalist countries at the same time. Sorry heavily regulated private businesses are still private.

Trump praises Hitler

In his newly-released book about the 2020 election, Wall Street Journal White House reporter Michael C. Bender reveals that former President Trump allegedly praised Adolf Hitler's role in Germany's economic recovery in the 1930s as evidence that the Führer "did a lot of good things."

It's true the German economy rebounded under Hitler. And he did massively reduce unemployment numbers. But Hitler's "economic miracle" was based explicitly, though not exclusively, on newly-introduced anti-Semitic laws.

Little mentioned among people praising Hitler, of course, was that economic recovery was the direct result of redefining a whole group of people out of the economy. Little mentioned to this day, among people who see Hitler's economy as evidence that he did "some good things," is that terror, abuse and brutality were important engines of the Nazis' economic recovery.

Far from showing he "did a lot of good things," Hitler's rebounding economy revealed the first signs of Nazi horrors to come.

Actually the economic recovery early in the nazi regime was solely due to policies and schemes put in place by predecessor governments, which were almost universally scrapped by Hitler. He basicly destroyed the German economy all over again in the mid-30s. Hence why all the aggressive moves happened when they did leading up to WW2 each one about two years ahead of the original schedule.

Trump's praising of Hitler is the most idiotic thing ever. Unless, of course, you are an admitted neo Nazi, there's no reason ever to praise Hitler. I've waffled between he's just that stupid to he's just that much of a racist. Not sure if it's one or both. Does anyone have any ideas why he would make a statement like that? Is it because he knows his base is racist?

Trump is trying to derail the BI-PARTISAN infrastructure bill by threatening GOP senators who vote for it. Its obvious this guy is no patriot. Trump, himself, promoted the idea of an infrastructure deal when he was "in office", but it fell through because he's such a shit negotiator. He does nothing for this country; it's all for himself.
