That passage refers to the devotion of wooden idols shaped in the image of particular gods, totems or ancestors etc.

A Christmas Tree isn't really an idol.....it's a tree.

Truth just for the record note that the text is from the Old Testament and thus pre-christian in origin.And it is not a reference to a christmas tree it is referring specifically to the worship of idols made by man.If you would have quoted the previous verse it is God speaking to the nation of Israel.And if you would have kept reading further down to the 14th verse it is clear that he is speaking about idol worship.Besides christians dont worship the christmas tree.

That's a misconception and your opinion...

I've heard and read many of times by Christians that refuse to have a x-mas tree in their house because they believe it's nothing more than an idol & Satan's way of entering your home.....(Some of my family believe this...)

Samson you are correct many more learned Christians recognize christmas for what it really is a pagan holiday known as the winter solstice.Those are the ones that consider xmas a satanic holiday I honestly have never heard of anyone calling the xmas tree itself Satans way into your home though.Maybe it's not the tree but the holiday it represents.
