Is Soup a Drink?

RE: Is Soup a Drink?
Cut the bullshit. Alla you fence sitters and people who think soup is a drink are gross.

You would not go to a restaurant and when the waiter takes your drink order, or sitting at a bar, the tender asks, "What'll ye have?" You would not say, "A glass of tomato soup to wash down my meal with."

No you wouldn't! Quit playin'!

With fiber, to boot!

It's a dessert topping and a floor wax.

Well. I made potato soup a couple of days ago. There was eating and drinking in it. So what does that mean? Was it a food or a drink?

I often find that people that criticise actual food have only experienced the packet stuff, not actually cooking from scratch.

I don't object to all of that. It's handy when time is short, and is not the demon it is made out to be. But home cooked is so much better that I do it at every opportunity

As far as I can tell, the difference between store bought tomato juice and tomato soup is often the temperature.

Because I stopped drinking alcohol nearly 20 years ago, I will often ask for tomato juice with a dash of tabasco, or soda water with dash of bitters.
