[Serious] For former Christians only, why did you leave your faith?

This is a problem for theology; no laboratory to differentiate competing ideas.

When the question is "Why did you leave your faith?" it seems the answer should be why you left your faith.  If a book was part of the reason, fine.  But what about your personal reasons.  That's what I am trying to get to.  Bel is just a parrot with little to no original thought.

I left Catholicism, because, I no longer believed it to be true. For me, it was a slow process; I would say that higher Biblical criticism was the major factor, as well as Professor Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion.

I left Christianity due to "Revelation in Mormonism" upon realizing that Christianity is a false religion.
Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yes, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards to children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel. 🙏

So, you left Christianity to go to Mormonism?  Was it the sorting hat that enticed you?

You state your religion as Mormon.

What you say here clearly states that the Mormon faith is not a Christian faith, in your opinion.

You need to pick a lane.

Yeah, usually I hear Mormons arguing that Mormonism IS a Christian sect, and Evangelicals arguing that it's not Christian. How do you avoid being Christian if your religon centers Christ?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

As Jesus himself was not a Christian, I do not see what the issue is here.

Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew.

I never really was a Christian, but I at least went through the motions of being one, for a number of years. But now I am definitely not even remotely a Christian.
