In this topic, I want to answer the question: "If God exists; why is he invisible"?

Short answer is: Black Holes. They are not invisible, but we cannot see them by naked eye. God is not invisible. Our eyes are just too inferior to spot him.

Long answer: It's a matter of events. If a certain event happened; we shall see God. He sees us, but we can't see him because the event didn't happen yet.

According to Islam; only some humans will have the blessing of seeing God; they shall witness the "event" that will make them see God.

A larger portion of mankind though, will miss seeing God, according to my personal belief they will be locked inside the Event Horizon of a nasty black hole called "Hell".

God exists. We can see the effects of his power all around us: from the universe to death to sex to eating to sleeping.

This is nonsense.

Black holes do not prove a super cognition exists.

It is true we cannot see the interior of a black hole. It is also true we know black holes exist because of the effect they have on the material around them we can observe. But you are still gap filling. You have no evidence that black holes prove that a super cognition caused everything.

It's important to remember that Winter isn't trying to prove anything. He, like all proselytizers, does what he does not to convert people to his faith, but because he's been indoctrinated to preach in order to make it harder for him to leave his own faith.

He knows, on some level, that his delusional attempts at conversion are never, ever going to work. But he also knows, almost certainly without realizing it, that the constant rejection he gets does nothing more than strengthen his bond with his co-religionists. This is the very nature of proselytizing - the more you preach and are rejected, the less likely you are to abandon your faith (as Nudger would say, it's not a bug, it's a feature).

Black holes may be invisible to our eyes but they can still be detected by other means, that cannot be said for god(s).
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

One could fuck a drama Queen.    One could at most only masturbate before a mental porno cartoon image one calls god.

To Neo it is blindingly obvious the mental porno fantasy is there in the flesh, in the form of his hand.

To winter he is having sex with the regal dominatrix but his dick is too inferior to feel it.

Which is a shame, imo, because nonsense does nothing but injury to the faith.

God is either hidden or evident.  Belief in a hidden god is meaningful and moving.  This is expressed many times in old and new magic book.  In many of those cases, this long dark night of the soul is The Event™ that winter is grasping for and failing to describe.  Ultimately, I think it's an undeniable human experience that doesn't even proceed from beliefs in gods in the first place.  The prophets in the ot often wonder why their god, their nation, their people... their friends and family...have failed to show up.  Have failed to help.  Have failed to show proper regard.  Why they have been abandoned.  These are all the same questions- as so brilliantly expressed in the nt when two gospel writers have jesus combining them all into one and crying out to his derelict father, the god of judah.  He resolves this dilemma with respect to his people and nation, exclaiming that they do not know what they do.  Even here, there is no answer from god.

The fact that islam feels the need to address this apologetically is confirmation that muslims are no different in this regard than their predecessors.  It directly speaks to a great many theological and societal problems.  It's no surprise that they've been taking shots at it for centuries.  That a god would permit, through it's hiddenness, religious conflict..is bewildering to people whose god is purported to be unifying - for starters.  The troubling and very difficult to evade observation that theologies are intrinsically divisive.  Why does god not make itself known..and insomuch as a god is contended to have made itself known, why is it always pear-shaped?  Thankfully, muslims smarter than Mr Bad Eyes over here have an answer to that.  The constant lead ins of "have we not, did we not, can you not see" are not demonstrative arguments or declarations of items in evidence..they are a further exploration of the dark night of the soul - a reminder that we do not, in fact, see these things.  That because we do not see these things we will not believe, and do not obey.  This, in such an understanding, is the main tragedy of our existence.  Forgive us, because we know not what we do...and why would we?

It is true that we can detect causes from their effects, but those causes are either natural or unexplained (as yet). Any attempt to shoehorn God in as an unexplained cause is an argument from ignorance, fallacious.

Winter doesn't believe in silly shit like logical validity or coherence, only in reducing impious thoughts and utterances. In outrunning some damning anxiety or another.

So.....are we to believe that he thinks his god made bad eyes? That the explanation for gods notable absence in our experience, is his creative incompetence?

I would love to have someone invent a 'god detecting' thingambob.

As I said, it isn’t just Winter and it isn’t just Islam. ANY religion that has trying to convert the unGodly as a core tenet does so as a mechanism to make sure the faithful continue to see their own particular franchise as a safe haven.

Sure, you can gain a handful of converts by beating the preaching drum long enough and hard enough, but I suspect you could do just as well with a bake sale.

LOL, we do love baked goods..then again....hasn't been working for the CoE. The two things in combo are killer, though - that's how christianity spread in rome. They brought little cakes.
