I'm embarrassed to say I don't what a Chromecast is, but looking it up relating to wowpresentsplus, I'm getting a lot of ambiguous results; some talk about it as Chromecasting from an android app, which if that's the case looks like it wouldn't work just on account of the crappy apps it has, and other things say that wowpresentsplus no longer supports Chromecasting (as well as other things I read before saying it has no support for smart TVs in case that's relevant). So is what you're saying from personal experience using this service, or just a general suggestion? I was just hoping I could at the very least just use the website because my laptop is already connected to my TV by hdmi cable for playing games, so from that POV I wouldn't need anything special to watch it on my TV. I'm considering subscribing but for all the platforms I've been interested in - xbox and android - reviews say that the apps are terrible and don't work, so that seems to leave only streaming on the website itself as a potential option, so just curious if anyone has any experience of that and can speak to it's reliability and/or has anything positive to say about the service as a whole? As a fan of RuPaul, I have been searching for a way to stream. I don't know anything yet of what's available.

I watched several seasons of Drag Race but then it kept switching to different platforms and I got tired of tracking it down and/or paying for another streaming service or rental. RE: Random Thoughts

Okay, that's reason enough... I'll be a Guinea pig here and test out the website streaming, and then report back ETA: Er, actually I'm not sure. I don't really trust their website; doesn't seem to have account creation separate from purchasing, and I prefer to know my account's set up and working, and has decent security (eg 2fa), before I put in payment details. So I'll have to think about it. ETA2: Yeah, I think by deduction from what it says on their site there's no 2fa, which is important to me, so I think I'm just going to have to give up on this. Just basically nothing about their operation seems professional to me, so I think they really shot themselves in the foot by going it alone and ditching Netflix. Yeah I'm not happy about what they did... as far as I'm concerned they just got greedy/greedier, but that's always been the impression I've had of WOW... so not keen on having to pay just for that one program, and even less if they have bad apps and not much in the way of feedback as to whether they're intending to fix them or not... but nonetheless I miss the programme, so if I can find it working anywhere I think I'm willing to subscribe at least for a little while - maybe just binge watch season 14 then unsubscribe until season 15 is finished (if it's not already) and then resubscribe again to binge watch that. It's a device that hooks to your TV, and various things can cast video to it which will display from it through your TV's input. For example, I pull up pirate streams of baseball games in my Chrome browser, the Chrome browser supports casting natively, so I just select cast, select the Chromecast device in question, and what is playing in the Chrome browser tab displays on the TV that is attached to the Chromecast. You could do the same with your show. Play it in the Chrome browser, but cast the Chrome browser tab to your TV via the Chromecast device. It basically mirrors whatever is in the Chrome browser tab, or your entire desktop; something similar can be done with phones -- mirroring the screen of the phone to the TV. But if your laptop is directly connected, it would be redundant. (March 29, 2023 at 9:32 pm)Angrboda Wrote:(March 29, 2023 at 6:48 pm)emjay Wrote: Thanks for the suggestion... Right, cool, thanks for the run down I think I've pretty much decided not to go for this for other reasons (above) but nonetheless this is good to know for the future, so thank you But as you say, with a connected laptop it seems pretty much redundant unless I wanted to do it from my phone or tablet, but I don't really use them for streaming anything.
Today is the day that Donald Trump truly became president.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
