Sorry, I do not understand what you mean and how it's relevant.

I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

A 2019 review found that heme iron intake is associated with increased breast cancer risk.

Okay, an actual citation.

Anyway - that looks like newish information.  When I was diagnosed it was with a newish kind of breast cancer and it was difficult to find information.

For me, I run toward being anemic.  I either don't consume enough iron or don't absorb enough iron.

As far as I can tell, with cancer, there's a risk with absolutely everything.

Again, I don't understand what you mean.
The OP asked whether it's healthier to eat no meat. I answered that it's almost certainly healthier to eat no red meat, because heme iron is found almost exclusively in red meat. And that there are some other, admittedly weaker, health-related reasons why not to eat meat. You are saying you have some idea for a song. How is that relevant?

Anemia caused by a lack of iron is rare. Anemia is a lot more easily caused by Vitamin B6 or Vitamin B12 deficiency. Have you checked those?

Well, yeah, heme iron is not the only thing in diet that's linked with breast cancer. Estrogen (found in cow's milk) and phytoestrogen (found in soy milk) are also linked with breast cancer. But the link between heme iron and colon cancer seems to be rather strong.

Actually, yes, I have been to doctors and had all the tests.  I take B Vitamins and I take an iron supplement.  This has been a lifelong issue.

My particular breast cancer was NOT hormone driven according to the doctors.  It also was NOT genetic though my mother had it also....a different kind...but that was tested too.

I saw real doctors at a research hospital/university.

As far as I know, most iron supplements are entirely heme iron. So taking them is worse (when it comes to cancer) than eating red meat, since only about 20% of iron in red meat is heme iron (the rest is the good free iron).

Married woman can't be a vegan by default. Because her husband always has meat for her.
