And BTW, yes I do. Then get her books.
She is accepted as the world expert on the subject.
If you can't be bothered to do the work, ... then fuck off.

Yet many Christians who are far less competent than I am (knowing no ancient language) think they are competent enough to claim the Bible says the Earth is flat or the universe is less than 10'000 years old. And not only that the Bible says that, but that it actually is that way.

And you point is what ?

It's easily demonstrable that they are wrong.
All you need to know is the cultural background and some actual history.
Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble. - Joseph Campbell  Popcorn

You could try using ChatGPT. I'm using it to help me learn a language and it's an absolute godsend... great for if you don't have a teacher or conversational partner to give you feedback. I wouldn't rely solely on it, because it can often make mistakes so you have to be vigilant with it, but alongside other tools it's a welcome addition... and it's ideally suited to these sorts of grammatical questions about cases etc.

I Googled "adjectiverb", but I found nothing relevant.

Well, you’re new to Google and may have made a mistake. Try again.

I spoke ancient Greek in a past life but now I seem to have forgotten it.

I could, but then what would happen to your search for knowledge?

What do you mean?

No.

As Issac Asimov stated, Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.

Studying the content isn't necessary as much as being able to interpret the material for the obvious fiction it is.

I mean that it’s better for you to find it out for yourself than for me to simply tell you.

I speak every language but Greek, and they’re all Greek to me.

I've watched the Jaclyn Glenn's video "Christianity Disproved" a few years ago (actually, I think it is even before I started learning Latin) where she shows how the story of Jesus appears to have taken elements from earlier ancient mythologies.

Are you reffering to those kinds of things? I think there is some truth to that, but that the basic idea of Christianity is completely original. The basic idea of Christianity is that God got angry at the humanity and had to sacrfice his own son in order to forgive us. As far as I know, that doesn't fit well into comparative mythology.

Yes, that’s the sort of thing.

No, the basic idea of Christianity is not ‘completely original’. If you think it is, you don’t know enough about comparative mythology.
