Not me.
My dad was, his dad made money supplying hardwood sleepers to the railway, old style.
Dad didn't knock on the front door, he'd walk around the verandah to the back door.
One time he appeared there with a big smile on his face.
I was reading/singing The Teddy Bears Picnic to my daughter.
A couple of months ago I was offloading my kayak, there were some local government workers.
Cough
pooftah
What? I'm old, I haven't been pretty for decades.
Do I have a mincing step?
Who cares? the fuckwit probably spends his leisure watching sport.
I've got a new granddaughter to sing to sing The Teddy Bears Picnic to.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

I think I’m comfortable summarizing as a real man acts as a society expects he should, which can very greatly. For me being a real man differentiated from a real woman is respectful, responsible, owning their words and actions and a sacrificial protector.

I assume I'm reading you wrong, but your post seems to imply that a real woman wouldn't be a sacrificial protector or responsible or respectful?

A woman could be all of those things, or none of them. I was just commenting that the definition of a “real man” differs from my definition of a “real woman”. Specifically with regards to the protector aspect part of my definition for a “real woman” is nurturer. Men could also be nurturing.

Fair enough. So the ideals for man and woman are different.
Men are primarily protectors, women primarily nuturers, in your view.
So a man who was far more a nuturer than a protector wouldnt be a real man, yes?

Real men are men who do what men are supposed to do. From there, it diverges due to culture. Even a person born as a woman can be a real man.
