Dear Atheists: what would convince you God/Christ is Real?

Would you like me to share some verses where God is represented with the characteristics of a father and verses (much fewer, I agree) where God is represented with characteristics of a mother? (Which, by the way, is what I said, not that he was “both male and female”)

The main reason (for this discussion) is, as Boru said, we are mostly a patriarchal society. Men need fathers. It’s important to our formation as men to have a good father.

At the same time, as before, God is beyond, or above, gender. The concept is only an anthropomorphization(?). God is represented as both a father and a mother in the Bible. It is the characteristics of fatherhood and motherhood that are more representative of God.

What of God isn't an anthropomorphization?

If god is personal and intervening, then anthropomorphizing divinity is not a bug, it's a feature.  You can't take someone to task for something you positively affirm yourself..or, more accurately, you can.... and you come off like a disingenuous nitwit when you do. Even if you hadn't tried to follow that up with some weak insult about my mouth. Weirdo. 

I'd prefer you didn't share anything from magic book - personally. I don't care that your catholic™ faith is novel and wholly representative of secular criticism. I think that's an improvement. I'm just pointing out that while it may be improved it is by no means coherent.

You took someone else to task on their description by saying that god wasn't personal and cautioning us against anthropomorphization.... then babbled out of the other side of your mouth about god being personal and..now..that anthropomorphization is just "recognizing reality".

Apparently, you did this without realizing it, which is par for the course for catholics™, to hear the shamans in funny dresses tell it.
