People do want to counter Putin and that is why they don't want Trump who is suffering from dementia. And Trump is also something that Putin and other enemies of the US want because Trump is so incompetent that he wants to start a civil war because of what used to be policy issues like tax rates, healthcare for poor people, immigration, and so on. These are all issues for which Trump wants Americans to point weapons at each other and this is what Putin, Xi, and other dictators were hoping for. Putin has hit a grand slam with Trump.

Biden has dementia too. He said yesterday that he recently met with Mitterrand, who died in 1996.

Your argument is that Biden is good because Trump is bad. I'm looking for pro-Biden arguments that make sense.

I live in the US. "Not Trump" is a great reason to vote for Biden, given that Biden doesn't want to dismantle our democracy while Trump clearly does. I can deal with policies I don't agree with, but I refuse to accept the destruction of the Constitution I swore my life to defend.

Guess my ballot.

Right: not pro-Biden but anti-Trump.

The economy is better under Biden than it was under Trump before covid, even excluding the post-covid boom during Biden's first year.

Why? So that you can ignore them again?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I confess that I know very little about economics, so this is something I need good non-partisan coaching about.

We all know that certain economic indicators can look very strong without helping normal people. A strong Wall Street doesn't necessarily translate into more comfortable lives for normal people.

(This has been clear to me here in Japan. For decades the US and the IMF, etc., have been urging Japan to modernize its economy, decrying a "lost decade," etc. They insist that Japan has to lay off lots of workers, decrease social spending, and cut way back on infrastructure. In other words, the economy is better if the people have austerity. So you know, cui bono, better for whom?)

It does look as if employment numbers are good. I've also read that US unemployment figures only count those who are actively looking for work; those who have given up don't count. So I can't say what the economy looks like to a middle-aged guy who can't relocate or train for a new career.

Just now I saw a clip from NBC news showing that while unemployment is down, Trump is still way ahead in polls asking who will be better for the economy. NBC said that he's 22 points ahead of Biden in people's perceptions of that subject. So we can write that all off as stupidity or racism, and that's partly true no doubt. But why do people feel Biden is worse if the economy is treating them so well?

Apparently homelessness is up sharply. Home prices and mortgages are up sharply. Inflation on groceries is high.

I understand hating Trump. I have never been a fan.

Biden can form coherent sentences, with subject, verb and object.
He also knows that Texas is not part of the 13 founding colonies

Here he is saying that he met "Mitterrand from Germany I mean from France" shortly after he was elected.

Mitterrand had been dead for over 20 years.

However he compares to Trump, I don't think we should say that he's good at public speaking.

An appeals court has ruled that Trump does not have presidential immunity in the insurrection case.

I guess this means your blanket insults involving most of the people on the forum are given a pass?
