I talked him into joining the AF mainly to get him a sense of direction and get him off the tit. He's been in about 11 years. I felt pretty bad when he got sent to the ME the first time. But this last time he was issued armor. He doesn't tell my wife when he's deployed because she worries so much. That and OpSec.

I believe they won’t be any significant military escalation in the region (I was simply joking in my first message). Even Putin his said to have called Raisi on that subject. If Iran ends up being in war itself, it will not be able to provide drones and missiles to Russia.
 
On the other hand, the situation in Iran is also mostly stable. In fact Iran can build nuclear weapons within a week if it wants to. But it cannot deal with the consequences of building them. In reality, it is silently begging for an alleviation of sanction that would allow the regime to survive a few more decades because popular dissatisfaction with the regime is also growing.
 
So they cannot really afford a war with Israel either. Right now they are shutting down nuclear power facilities because of the possibility of Israel targeting them.

So back to my first comment: Sometimes you need people to stand up and take some responsibility until a more permanent and intelligent solution that is acceptable for everyone is found and implemented. But as I said, nothing really big should happen in that region for the moment.
 
(Except for all those people in Gaza + the West Bank who should be able to simply get out of that place that has become a reflection of hell on this planet but are siöply unable to do that  - Most of the victims are said to be women + children - So I see it as a good sign that Joe Biden is not willing to support Israel in anything it decides to do against Iran)

Your claim that Iran could put a nuclear weapon together inside a week is directly contradicted by the same authority you cited in support of it.
