It's always anything but the kiddy diddling with those assholes. Sure, blame the schools. Blame the internet. Hell, blame the weather. Never, ever, blame the child predators you're shielding.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That reminds me of some indians who put their arms up all their lives.
Example:
https://brightside.me/articles/the-true-...73-815647/
That page is about Amar Bharati. It says he has his arm up since 1973, for Shiva and also for world peace.
Also, I learned about a new word:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asceticism
"Asceticism[a] is a lifestyle characterized by abstinence from sensual pleasures, often for the purpose of pursuing spiritual goals.[3] Ascetics may withdraw from the world for their practices or continue to be part of their society, but typically adopt a frugal lifestyle, characterised by the renunciation of material possessions and physical pleasures, and also spend time fasting while concentrating on the practice of religion or reflection upon spiritual matters,[4] which is thought by some to allow the practitioner's core of consciousness to expand and connect with the infinite universal consciousness.[5] Some individuals have also attempted an ascetic lifestyle to free themselves from addictions to things such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs, entertainment, sex, food, etc.[6]"
I suppose the goal is to emulate your heroes, emulate your gods.
I guess that if your gods don't eat things, then the follower of religion X also doesn't eat.
If his gods don't need sex, don't have wives, he will also choose a life of celibacy and avoid sex.
Some of them reject materialism. The idea is less is best. This might have to do with the idea that gods are not made of materials.
Kids like putting on a cape and pretend flying around in the living room to emulate their TV hero: Superman.
I don't know why Amar Bharati chose to put his arm up. Maybe that is something important for Shiva?
