Several stories about the Trump rally in Wisconsin...among other garbled speech, he called The Muskrat - Leon.

To wit:

MOSINEE – Former President Donald Trump addressed about 7,000 people in central Wisconsin on Saturday in his fourth Wisconsin rally of the 2024 campaign.

Speaking behind a plexiglass barrier, Trump made a litany of promises — including ending the Russia-Ukraine war before being sworn in to office, abolishing the federal Department of Education and fending off World War III.

The former president was expected to deliver remarks focused on the economy, but his discursive speech bounced from topic to topic following his mindset at any given moment.

Harris "will be the worst president," Trump said, "And Trump is never wrong. I am never, ever wrong."

His speech, which lasted nearly two hours, followed the whims of Trump's train of thought, rapidly spinning through different topics. Going from criticizing Harris for her lack of action on the southern border, Trump would then switch to blaming the media's portrayal of his rhetoric.

At one point, he brought up Hannibal Lecter, the fictional serial killer from the early 1990s.

"When I say Hannibal Lecter, the press says 'Oh why did he mention that? They say he rambled and started talking about Hannibal Lecter,'" he said. "What does that have to do with this? That's a representative of people that are coming into our country."

"If I were president, attacking Ukraine would have never happened. I knew Putin. I knew him well," Trump said of Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Nobody was tougher on Russia in history than Trump, and the person that knows that better than anyone is President Vladimir Putin. He knows it better than anyone. And I'll tell you what — I will have that war finished and done and settled before I get to the White House as president-elect. I will get that done."

Donald Trump is now proposing two of the largest-ever federal arrests of people living in America, including U.S. citizens, if he's re-elected:

Trump, on his Truth Social platform last night, threatened to jail adversaries, including Democratic donors. "WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED" in elections of 2020 or 2024, he wrote, "will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences ... Please beware that this legal exposure extends to Lawyers, Political Operatives, Donors, Illegal Voters, & Corrupt Election Officials."

Trump, asked by TIME magazine in April about his plans for the largest deportation of undocumented immigrants in American history, said he has "no choice": "I don't believe this is sustainable for a country, what's happening to us, with probably 15 million and maybe as many as 20 million by the time Biden's out. Twenty million people, many of them from jails, many of them from prisons, many of them from mental institutions."

Tim Walz has been caught in yet another lie. During a campaign stop, he said he was going to go get a doughnut, but he didn't. He went and got doughnuts for everyone.

How long will we have to put up with this blatant dishonesty??

Apparently Trump has declared that he thinks Kamala Harris is a good looking woman.  I am putting in the link for the article where he slams some women for their "imperfections" and praises those he thinks are fine.

Republican pollster says: I have never seen a candidate more determined to blow an election

A top Republican pollster says he has never seen a candidate more determined to “blow” an election than Donald Trump.

Frank Luntz, a pollster and GOP strategist for the likes of ex-New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, posted on social media on Saturday to take the shot at the Republican nominee.

“I have never seen a candidate more determined to blow an election,” Lutz wrote in response to Trump’s promise to imprison his political opponents.

“Instead of talking about affordability and immigration security (the top public issues), Trump is once again screaming about prosecuting his opponents.

I hope no one manages to stop Operation Let Him Talk.

Is anyone planning on watching the debate tonight? I cannot stand to hear Trump speak except for short clips of his screwups.

I believe I will pass and wait for others to report on what's happening/what happened. I prefer the Cliff Notes Version of anything Trump is babbling about.

No plans to watch it, but I sincerely hope Trump brings up his tariff plan, so Harris can instruct him on what tariffs actually are and who pays them.
