Russians are still advancing in the East (by a few miles everyday) + it is still hitting military and civilian targets with advanced kh 59 / kh 69 missiles.
 
Vlodimyr Zelensky is asking for permission to use advanced missile systems on Russian targets inside Russian territory. Some people argue that this would not make a lot of difference of Ukraine. I think it would do a lot of damage on Russian aircrafts, keeping them at bay at least until the arrival of more F-16’s.
 
The F-16’s delivery is also working very slowly. They have 10-20 aircrafts when they need alt least 200 of them.

Also, the Taiwanese Prime Minister made interesting comments today. He is simply asking why the PRC is not reclaiming its territories that were annexed by Russia in the 19th century. And he is further arguing that the PRC’s only issue is to try to disrupt the established world order by creating tensions in Taiwan + in the South China Sea.

+ I totally disagree with Donald Trump’s claim that “he can end the war in two weeks”. If he really does that, China will see it as a green light to simply take Taiwan by force and assert itself completely in the South-China Sea.

The bottleneck is not the availability of planes, it's the (un)availability of trained pilots.

MOSCOW, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Ukraine targeted the Russian capital on Tuesday in its biggest drone attack so far, killing at least one and wrecking dozens of homes in the Moscow region and forcing around 50 flights to be diverted from airports around Moscow.

Russia, the world's biggest nuclear power, said it had destroyed at least 20 Ukrainian attack drones as they swarmed over the Moscow region, which has a population of more than 21 million, and 124 more over eight other regions.

At least one person was killed near Moscow, Russian authorities said. Three of Moscow's four airports were closed for more than six hours and almost 50 flights were diverted.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the drone attack was another reminder of the real nature of Ukraine's political leadership, which he said was made up of Russia's enemies.

"There is no way that night time strikes on residential neighbourhoods can be associated with military action," said Peskov.

Thirteen people have been injured in Russia's Tver region after a large Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire there, according to the country's health ministry.

Unverified footage has emerged purportedly showing a massive blast in the town. Video footage circulating on social media showed detonations and smoke covering a large stretch of sky.

A partial evacuation of the region was ordered after the strike in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The regional governor later encouraged residents to return, saying that all infrastructure in the town was working normally again.

AFP and Reuters news agencies have quoted Ukrainian sources as saying an ammunitions warehouse had been struck.

The target this time, though, is significant. A military arsenal, worth almost £30m ($39m), has seemingly gone up in a series of explosions. NASA reported a series of heat sources from satellite imagery.

A light-magnitude earthquake was even reported in the surrounding Tver region.

The head of Ukraine's Centre for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, said on Telegram that in addition to its own ammunition, including Grad rockets, Russia had also started to store North Korean missiles in Toropets.

None of these claims have been verified by the BBC.
