Chapter eleventy seven, wherein A Christian argues that it would be improper to suggest that he has or thinks he has many good reasons for his faith.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. ..and now we not only don't believe what we've said, we don't remember what we've said.
How did this convo go in your mind, was this the outcome you intended when you decided to behave this way?

Clearly the misquote was not a deliberate attempt to misrepresent what you had said, since I, and others, have quoted you verbatim three times now in response to your lie, that I'd imagined you saying it, and of course you have ignored the actual quote, are you really this dishonest and petty?
I may have to have a word with myself here, for bothering with you, if that's the case.
It's abundantly clear that if you had good reasons for your faith, you'd have offered something, instead we have you offering petty point scoring.
if you imagine you can troll me John, then I can assure you it will not happen.

Deliberate or not, you did misrepresent what I said. And instead of retracting it, you still push forward as if I had said it.

Lets get this back on track. Everyone misquoted everyone, we call it even and stop using it as a deflection to avoid answering questions. Cool? Cool

That's a lie John, all anyone need to is scroll up, to see I admitted and corrected the accidental misquote. They can also see the claim you lied I had imagined being quoted by myself and at least one other poster.
At least I have my answer, you really are that petty and dishonest, time to cut you lose then I think.

It's difficult for contemporary christians to walk in faith. Their witchdoctors and shamans preach on it every weekend but it doesn't seem to matter. That's why we end up with all of this claptrap. The faithful have been indocrinated into our shared culture, and they want to tell us that they have answers, that they know of a rational path between here and truth of christs promise. It's a lie, and, at least thematically speaking, part of life's test, as they tell it.

I wouldn't dare argue against your analysis. You have a decade of experience in these forums after all, and an interest in religion and anthropology.
