I have seen a couple of clips lately of Jane Goodall saying that chimps were not her favorite animals as they were too much like humans. Her favorites animals were dogs.

She did live an amazing life and was touring when she died....she did what she loved right up to the last.

In terms of creating public awareness, she did for Africa what Steve Irwin did for Australia.
