Loeb is a loon and it's a shame that NYPost repeated his crazed blogging. This bit was a lovely example of how bad the science reporting is:
"This stands in stark contrast to most comets, which turn red during their solar visits because their surface is so cold that they absorb blue light and bounce back mostly red light — much like how cold metal glows red when heated."
What?!? How do you think colour works? Do you know what a comet is?!? Are you drunk???

He probably thinks pixies come out and paint hot things red (they are very small so you never see 'em!)

Army drone crashed near Area 51, but this TV station called ufo people to fuel cover-up claims
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What a silly story. As we all know, they develop and test top secret aircraft at Area 51. Of course they're going to misdirect the public when there is a crash of such an aircraft. It's their job to make sure top secret stuff stays that way.
If the bonehead really found an actual part from the crashed aircraft as he claimed, he's going to be getting a very unfriendly visit.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Trump’s changing White House ballroom plans fuel viral conspiracy theories
Architect Andrew Kerr, who has worked on federal projects, raised concerns in a Facebook post. He said the ballroom’s scale and cost “don’t add up.”
Kerr calculated that at 90,000 square feet and $300 million, the ballroom would cost about $3,333 per square foot — far above high-end construction rates. He also said a 1,000-person ballroom would typically require no more than 40,000 square feet, even with generous spacing.
Jacob Ward, a journalist who has covered architecture and infrastructure budgets, echoed that concern.
“To blow $3,000 a square foot — that’s like a hospital building with specialized equipment,” he said in a TikTok video.
The shifting plans have fueled conspiracy theories. One deleted video claimed the construction could be a cover for building an underground data center beneath the White House.
The East Wing sits atop the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, a bunker built during World War II and used by President George W. Bush and his staff after the 9/11 attacks.
However, technology experts say the data center theory doesn’t hold up. Bentley Hensel, a senior DevOps engineer, explained on TikTok that data centers require massive cooling systems and cannot operate underground. The Environmental and Energy Study Institute reports that large data centers can use up to five million gallons of water daily just to stay cool.

Here's a conspiratorial question: What are they planning to do that they think they'll need an upgraded bunker for?

Elon Musk Pushes Idiotic Conspiracy About New York Ballot and Mamdani
Non–New Yorker Elon Musk peddled the stupidest conspiracy about the New York City mayoral election Tuesday morning.
“The New York City ballot form is a scam!” Musk posted on X. “No ID is required. Other mayoral candidates appear twice. Cuomo’s name is last in bottom right.”
Musk’s tweet seemingly implies the ballot is somehow rigged against Andrew Cuomo, who lost the Democratic nomination to Zohran Mamdani in June.
All of Musk’s ramblings have easy explanations, which, if he or his rabid retweeters lived in New York City, they’d probably already know.
First, city election law doesn’t require voters to bring an ID to the polls—instead, you have to include a driver’s license or Social Security number when you register, so when you show up to actually vote, all you need is your name and address.
Second, you can run with multiple parties in NYC.
And lastly, the ballot order is determined by how many votes a party received in the last gubernatorial election, with unaffiliated candidates (like Cuomo) appearing after the partisan ones.* Elon, you’re reaching.
This explanation is simple and clear—but that doesn’t matter, because Musk, like Donald Trump, couldn’t care less about whether his fearmongering is based in fact. As one X user in response put it, “When you’re a moron everything looks like a conspiracy.”

When superstition is the opposite of true: Coins thrown into plane engine by elderly passenger for 'luck'
Quote:A superstitious elderly passenger delayed a flight in Shanghai after throwing coins at the engine for good luck, a Chinese airline has confirmed.
The 80-year-old woman threw her change at the China Southern Airlines flight as she crossed the tarmac to board.
She told police she launched the coins as she "prayed for safety" on Tuesday.
Of the nine coins launched, only one hit its intended target - but this was enough to force the evacuation of 150 passengers for several hours.
Police were called to Shanghai Pudong International Airport after a passenger noticed the woman's bizarre behaviour, apparently aimed at ensuring a safe flight, and alerted authorities.
The woman, who was travelling with her husband, daughter and son-in-law, was then taken away for questioning by officers, local media report. She will not face charges.
