The great man included "stopping Transgender for Everyone" in one of his knockoff tweets as yet another accomplishment of his administration.  He keeps saying this.  No one seems to want to ask him what he thinks he means, and who told him what he thinks it means.  When he wakes up in the morning, does someone bring him a piece of paper with a number on it of all the people who didn't have gender reassignment surgery in the last 24hrs....or...?

The right's fixation with the gender and sexual identities of anyone other than themselves is fucking creeeeeeeeepy. How much time do my two Republican senators spend thinking about my jerk-off thoughts? And why?

Also, it's telling in a way they truly don't understand. In one sense, people are defined by what -- or who -- they hate. There's some methhead-preacher-wide-stance shit sprinkled all over this crap. The thief is the first to accuse others of the theft.

Now that Bondi has opened an investigation, any effort to release them will be quashed on account of the pending investigation.

I’m not sure DOJ has the authority to do that in the face of a bill passed by Congress.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Justice Document [sic] would be able to withhold documents that "would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution, provided that such withholding is narrowly tailored and temporary."

Ty Cobb, a former White House lawyer in the first Trump term, said he believes Trump's sudden turnabout in favor of releasing the Epstein files is a "canard." Cobb said he believes and that Attorney General Pam Bondi will cite the ongoing investigations as a reason not to release them.

"I think he and Bondi have determined that they'll try to use Trump-ordered 'investigations' of Democrats ‒ but not Republicans, as he stated ‒ as a bar to producing anything," Cobb said in an interview on CNN. "I think it'll be a long time before we see anything, although there are certain documents that could be easily produced."

The legislation the House approved also contains language permitting Bondi to withhold records that could violate the rights of Epstein victims. This includes personally identifiable information that reveals the names of victims or materials that depict or contain child abuse.
