Rob made and starred in one of my all-time favs in Spinal Tap.

Oh, yes. I think there were few people alive in the US during the late 70s to early 80s that didn't know about Luke and Laura.
Piece of trivia: Genie Francis (who played Laura) is the wife of Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker from Star Trek TNG).

Holy shit, Luke and Laura, fictional characters, will never be together again.

In a further development, Nick Reiner is now being held without bail. So…yeah.

A Massachusetts university professor who was shot at his home has died, campus officials say.
Nuno F Gomes Loureiro, 47, a nuclear science and engineering professor from Portugal, was shot "multiple times" on Monday and died on Tuesday morning in hospital, according to Brookline police and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) officials.

I just saw that. That sucks. No details yet because of active investigation. For all we know, he might have been shot by a student he failed.
We'll see.

I've received a failing grade before. It had nothing to do with a failing on the part of the teaching staff. Some people, though. I saw a student come into one of my physics classes (before class) and bitch out the prof because he had two mid terms on the same day.

Like they plan that, across the campus.

I always looked at the final schedule to ensure that I didn't have two finals on the same day. It still happened. It's just the way it is. But having a linear algebra final and a physics mechanics final on the same day, back-to-back, left me a little dazed. I look back on what I "learned", and realize how much I have forgotten. Use it or lose it.

Use it or lose it.
Which just goes to show that the majority of what you learn in school you don't actually need to use in real life or on the job.
