There are many priceless gems of wisdom, of philosophy and of humanity in Buddhism that deserve distilling from their religious origins.
This process is already well underway, I myself fully embrace Buddhist philosophy purely as philosophy.
I don't believe I am spiritually connected to every being in the universe or that I will be reincarnated but I do think that all my actions have consequences that will effect others who will effect others and ripple outward and forth for as long as there are others to be effected.
When I meditate I am not becoming one with universe or having an outer body experience. I am expanding and focusing on my inner and outer perceptions, my imagination, my thoughts, my memories, myself and centering all so I can expand and focus on the world around me.
It is very easy to see the separation between religious Buddhism and philosophical Buddhism.

Thats my opinion anyway.

What religion do I like most?

Greek Mythology, hands down. If Greek mythology were real I'd be an Apollonian priestess =P
