Welcome aboard. It's good to meet a fellow conservative Republican Christian. You can count on me for support and encouragement here in this lion's den.

Can you elaborate, what parts of the universe do you think of first when you consider the Lord's virtuous and just nature?

Only in a manner of speaking, why is it no one will go read the Genesis account and find out for themselves, it truly is a short read.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

If your god did not create everything, then who did?

It's not so much about "parts of the universe", but it is about His creation of beings (i.e. us) that enable God to express His nature more fully. This doesn't just mean the idea of love, though that is obviously central, but I believe that even His justice is a good or virtue that is more fully expressed within the context of His interaction with His human creation.

I'm glad to see another believer in these forums as well.

We have read it, repeatedly.

Your point?

Gen1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forthabundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Says here that god created every living creature.

Don't know your own book very well do you......

Yep, sends bears to maul children to death.......

Very just and virtuous indeed.Undecided

Sounds more like a petulant child having a temper tantrum than a supreme deity to me.

In which case, why aren't all planets inhabited. If more expression of perfection is better than less, why create only an effectively small and finite number of toys for you to impress?

I always love the perfectly virtuous bit. Its the dictator call. What I do is the perfect way to do things because I'm in charge and if you disagree I will send you to the torture pits.

You know what I wanna ask? If god created everything, it's not the 'why' I'm interested in, it's the how. How the fuck did he violate the laws of nature?

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Such as? Has He interacted with you? I mean more than just in prayer, obviously that's a given with Christians, but in your life?

What are you talking about? Either your deity created everything or he didn't. Which is it?
