A person not being found guilty in court does not make them innocent. Period.
I might also point out that some of them have been tried and, get this, found guilty.

In the American system, it does. It is done so people get as fair a trial as possible. What use is a trial if one already has declared someone guilty?
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

*facepalm* In the American legal system, guilty means found guilty. I'm not talking about that. Read the context. I'm talking about whether or not they did it. Being found not guilty does not mean Casey Anthony is innocent, does it? They need to be tried, not freed. Furthermore, since when does one person thinking someone is guilty negate the need for a trial?
Personally, I prefer waterboarding to having to explain every bit of context in a conversation with a "human rights racist."

No,it does not,in any legal system; 'not guilty' has a precise legal meaning, and is in no way a moral judgment.

During the election campaign,I heard some of Obama's eloquent rhetoric and promises, and sighed that so many people could be so credulous..
After he was elected,my thought was to see what he actually did in the first 100 days, especially if he would close Guantanamo Bay. He could not. I was pretty sure then that he would be the lame duck he has been.

Did what?
Soldiers fighting back against invaders...which is what we were...are prisoners of war...except we aren't at "war."
Personally, it sounds like Bush went to law school at Auschwitz, Shel.

"Soldiers?" That's a far stretch, Min. These people attack their own people more than they attack us. What does that tell you? FYI, by "these people," I mean those that are actually guilty of a crime. Besides, I made no judgments about their initial detainment. They should be detained by their respective governments. Since they are not, they should be tried, not simply let go on a technicality. As for Auschwitz, that is histrionic, Min. Guantanamo is bad and I won't understate it, but I will not compare it to the likes of Auschwitz, not ever.

He can't just do that. Obama is not a dictator.

It might just take the proverbial act of congress to do that.

He'd screw the US anti-money laundering and client identity-theft protection. Sorry, I don't know what the legislation in that section of the Patriot Acts is actually called.
